If money is not an issue then most basic things can be purchased in the village. For long g term stays it's best to shop in kelowna. Best value for your money is either superstore or Walmart
The current shuttle bus schedule can also be found on the BW website if you search for “On Mountain Shuttle”.
Yes. Most seasons they stay open nicely into April. In 2019 we skied on April 20 in beautiful spring conditions.
Mid March is good skiing but so is April. March you will have to contend with spring breakers. Can be a bit busy on the lifts and more challenging to find a place to stay. I would book now.
Ice skates available to rent, 3 types: recreational, figure, or hockey.

Absolutely love every visit to Big White. The terrain is just so much fun, with loads of variety and natural features everywhere. On a good pow day like we had this Monday, it's some of the most fun riding in the world. See you again soon Biggie 😀
Well organised ski resort. Easy to get around. Fast lifts and long runs. Good tree skiing for almost all levels making it more interesting than some other "piste only" resorts. Good food options at night and during the day. Family friendly.
I've never seen so much snow!! This is by far the best ski resort I've been to. For such a big resort its so well run and organized. Staff is from all over the world (mostly New Zealand it seems), but everyone is friendly and helpful. Its a huge place and you really need few days to truly enjoy it. The lift tickets are cheap in comparison to other places out there and conditions were amazing. If you ski or board, this is a must!! We stayed at one of the condo's at the resort and they are amazing.. ski to the front doors and everything is easily accessible. Lots of restaurants and bars, lifts were not busy but the snow..... such a great time.
Big White was our first real travelling snowboarding trip and did not disappoint. This place is absolutely HUGE. This is great as it does not feel as close to as busy as Whistler and also accommodates something for everyone. The runs are extremely long which makes you feel like your hardly ever having to grab the lifts and also offer some real gnarly terrain. I personally also love the gigantic freestyle parks they have. The village is also awesome, plenty of feel-good local places to get some grub and enjoy a cold one with buddies.
This is a great place to spend a couple of days playing in the snow. We went snowshoeing and it's so peaceful and quiet. The village is a nice place to walk around and grab a drink and a bite, and there are lots of family friendly activities!
Thank you Big White ski school staff! This week with the virus is extremely stressful for everyone involved and the staff is doing their best to accommodate people but also follow Big White policy. Thank you especially to Etienne, from UK for the private snow board lesson for our son who was disappointed to not get into a group lessons because things were taking longer than anticipated. We love Big White and will continue to enjoy the resort for many years to come.
Loved this place!!The hostel was very very clean and well kept.Everyone around the resort was friendly and helpful.ATV rides were awesome!!! Our tour guide, she's was so relaxed and knew what she was doing. Would definitely recommend you do this activity!!
Love this place! Been here several times. A lovely ski in, ski out family resort. A home away from home feel. Good restaurants and great white POW!
We had tons of fresh snow during our ski-week. Light was flat at times but the abundant natural snow is so worth it! Had 1 spectacular blue sky sunny day, following by 5 days and nights of snowfall. Condo was great, ski in/ski out. Village always a buzz of activities and cool shops and restaurants. Great time!
Stayed in the summer at a families home and the views were incredible and the new extreme biking tracks are very cool! Few pubs open pizza is good and the grocery store pretty decent!
Summer is a little slow, but the weekends are fun, and it's seriously beautiful up there!
Wonderful sunny day spent hiking . Breathtaking views. Open and safe environment and friendly staff.
Great for skiing and biking. They are still figuring things out with the bike park but definitely worth checking out
Just been spending some time in a chalet here. But great scenery and very friendly people everywhere!! Easy access to get in and out, great walking trails and wildlife!!
I always enjoy my time at Big white. The big White shuttle is just under $100 round trip from the airport. I stay a in a beautiful condo in the moguls building. The skiing is spectacular. This is a great place to bring family including kids. The only downside at big white is if you get a foggy Day. This time i rented skis as I was tired of shipping mine, the price isn't bad and the skis are in good shape. All in all i would strongly recommend checking out big white if you want amazing skiing for everyone in your family.
My second season on skis and this was perfect plenty of green and blue runs that are good for a decent beginner. Beautiful views, great runs, fairly fast moving ques for chair lifts. Fist day everyone was without hot water but they fixed it and the rest was amazing.
I love making the trip to BC for the snow and Big White did not disappoint. Awesome resort with absolutely anything you could want. Staff are very friendly too. As for the skiing. Wow do they have some great terrain and what seems like constant snow. I think my friend summed it best by mentioning that the resort has very few places you can't ski. Trees, in between runs, you name it and it's ski-able. Be sure to make your trip at least a few days to try and get a sunny day because this place is unbelievable in the sun.
I love this place in the summer as much as I do in the winter. It's a fantastic getaway!
Beautiful scenery, wonderful fresh air. Great place to walk/hike or bike. Great places to eat.Only 45 minutes from Kelowna.
